Panda Land

Last week a new play gym cafe called Pandaland opened in Noosa. So Jacinta and I took Dylan, Jake and Jet up to see what it was like, and it was awesome. They had everything from guns that shot foam balls, trampolines, bikes, ball pits... you name it. The kids had an absolute ball as you can see in the photo. Me and Jacinta were just able to kick back with Lily and enjoy a coffee and let the kids run crazy so to speak. it really was a great day out.

Nan Jans 71st Birthday

We had Nan Jan come visit and stay with us last weekend for her Birthday. My mum and dad were also up for the day so we had a little birthday afternoon tea for her. Isn't she just amazing. We all enjoyed nan's delicious cooking. She always brings Dylan up some really yummy patty cakes with faces on them. I was going to ring her and tell her not to bring anything..because it was her birthday and she wasn't aloud...but before i got a chance there was a message on my answering machine saying "it's nan here...don't worry about tea cause I have made something for us to have". We loove nans cooking...almost as much as we love nan.

Here we are singing happy birthday to nan. Dylan was just about jumping through his skin to help nan blow out the candles. Later that day nan and Dylan had a big deep and meaningful talk about how Dylan is going to get himself a wise one day. It took nan a while to catch on but he was trying to tell her that one day he was going to get himself a wife. He has trouble saying f's lol. It was just so cute. We all had a good laugh anyway.

We had a really nice visit with nan.. and boy she has still got it. I think I went to bed at around 9pm. But Paul and nan ended up staying up until 3am talking. So we had a lazy Sunday with pancakes for breakfast. I took nan up to have a look at a boys town lottery house that I brought tickets in just up the road. The house was amazing (1.3 million dollars worth). It is drawn on the 19th of December and I am sure that I am going to win it lol. It comes with $60 000 in gold bullion, $10000 in travel, a car worth $50000 and $3000 dollars worth of presents. So if I win everyone is coming to ours for Christmas. Fingers crossed.

Wakeboarding Summer 07

Summer is back and we have been enjoying many a days wakeboarding. It is a really addictive and fun sport. This is the first time I have been able to get into it (as I have been pregnant ever since we got the boat) and I am really loving it. We having been going to Burrumba Dam ( which is about 1 hour north west of us. It is such a great family day out. Me the kids and the girls will set up camp on the banks while the boys go out in the boat and then we will swap and Paul and the boys will look after the kids and Harley will take us girls out to have a go. My goal this summer is to at least attemp to do an ollie.

Here is my new little baby. I haven't got a name for her yet so I am open for suggestions. Pauls wakeboard is pretty much the same as mine but his is black, so he called his excalabar. Pretty funny huh. I haven't actually got a picture of me on the boad as yet.... Paul somehow always forgets to get one. But I am getting up. I am not really at the stage the other boys are at yet. I can pretty much stand up and that is it, but I am still proud of myself.

This is a picture of our mate Harley. He is one crazy man. Harley is our friend that went halves with us in the boat. Paul, Harley and the rest of the boys have just started doing the kickers and sliders jumps at the cable ski park and pretty much every weekend they take the boat for a spin in the river.

Heres Paul doing one of the rail slides. Poor Paul I am yet to get a good photo of him doing a big jump. For some reason every time he goes for a big jump and he catches some big air the camera has a delayed response and I miss the shot. I have a thousand photos of harley doing the jumps but I just can't get one of Paul. I will have to get one soon or he is going to kill me lol.

Here is a prime example of my terrible camera skills. See the jump behind Paul... well he has just landed the jump. Anyways he is doing really well. I have just realized how to post videos so I will have to see if i can get some footage of him... and soon. Love to all!

Lily's 4 months already

My has time gone by...my little girl is now 4 months already. Above is a photo of her enjoying her first taste of food. Mmmmmm farex. Don't you just love the spoon. It is a bendable dragon. So instead of "here comes the aeroplane" it is "here comes the dragon". And as you can tell by the size of her, she has no trouble feeding. She is now weighing in at 7.5 kg.

Here is a more serious lily. I just love this photo. My mum recently went to Kosharmui (not sure if that spelling is right) anyways it is relatively close to Phuket and she brought this gorgeous little outfit back for Lily.

Here Lily is busily rolling back and forth...such a clever girl. Every time she rolls over she looks up at me with as if to say " look at me aren't I clever". And when I give her some praise and tell her how clever she is, she gives me a great big grin. And yes now that she is rolling she has got grandpa hair. She has lost all the hair around the sides... its so cute!

Well love to all from all of us!

A splashing good time

Monday is swimming lesson day in our house. This is Dylan and Grace today on their third swimming lesson for the season. With summer just around the corner I thought that now would be a great time to get Dylan back into it so as he will be nice and confident by Summer. He made me so proud today...he has come along way from the boy who couldn't bear to get water in his ears. Louise his teacher is fabulous and now has him diving and swimming out to her under the water, floating on his back with a kick board and just having loads of fun with the other kids.

He is really starting to enjoy the water so I am hoping to get him in to nippers (mini surf life savers) as soon as he is old enough. I can't wait, I can just imagine him in the adorable little outfit. Living at the beach I think it is so important to be a confident swimmer. And hopefully by the end of this summer he will be of and racing.

Our Engagement

I wanted to share this picture with you all as it is so special to me. Paul had actually already asked me to marry him, but he wanted to ask my dad before we told the family. He is such a sweet heart. So this photo was taken the day he asked Dad and we announced our Engagement to the rest of the family at a family BBQ at my grandma's house. I remember being just sooo happy and sooo excited that I just wanted to scream.
Now that was some years ago and we are still not married lol. Not from lack of trying ... we have just had a couple of little things pop up .... like our 2 beautiful children Dylan and Lily. But now that we are settled and have our house at the coast and our complete little family we are hoping to next focus our attention on planning a wedding. We are not sure on dates yet but hopefully late 2008 or early 2009. I am hoping for a simple beach wedding. Both Paul and myself looove the beach so what better place to get married! We will keep you updated!

Dylan in the Jungle

This picture was taken a couple of days before I was due to have Lily. Nan Jan had come up hoping that I would go into Labour while she was here. I was anxious and was ready for Lily to arrive so Nan took me on a long walk along the river with Chloe (our dog) and Dylan. We finished up at Chambers Island and Dylan and Nan went across the bridge to "the Jungle" as Dylan calls it. He loves visiting the jungle and hunt for dinosaur bones and climbs the trees. This particular day he was so exhausted from all his walking and playing that I had to leave Nan and Dylan and walk 1km back to the car and thence drive down and pick them up. I think all that walking must have done some good because the next day along came Lily. Perfect timing.

Nan Jans Visit

Here are some beatiful photos of Nan Jan with the kids. It took heaps of attemps at getting photos... Dylan wouldn't sit still...or I would chop someone out of the photo...but eventually we got some cuties. Nan wants me to let you all know that she doesn't like the first photo....but I think it is gorgeous.

Spiderman

Heres a picture taken last time Nan was up for a visit. Dylan Loves dressing up as Spider Man. It has sort of worn off a bit now. But a few months ago he would wear it all day and then want to wear it to bed. By then end of the day his little face mask would be all wet and slobbery.

Lilly's new Outfit

Yesterday Nan Jan Arrived from the Gold Coast to stay with us for a couple of days. This morning we went shopping at Sunshine plaza hence Lily's beautiful new outfit! Doesn't she just look adorable. It was a typical day out with me...I was taking Nan UP the down escalator (Hope you understand what I mean as I couldn't think of any other way to describe it). Jan said it reminded her of shopping with Laura lol. We had a coffee at Starbucks and Dylan had a yummy chocolate frappe.

Little Jenny

I have been asked by Lori to post a picture of me when I was younger. She said that Nanna tells her that I remind her of Laura. At the moment I only have this one photo of me as a young girl. The rest of my childhood photos are at my mums house in Toowoomba. So next time I go visit I will get a couple more to show you all.

I am guessing that i would have been 3 or 4 in this photo. I was in Kindergarten at the time in Toowoomba. I can remember the day quite well. It was dress up day. Mum went to quite some effort cutting up crepe paper to make me into a chicken....pretty clever huh. Mum always went to a lot of effort to make things special for us kids ...and looking back i appreciate those little things more than ever ( love you mum). Anyways the part that i remember most about this day was the fact that by the end of the day I remember most of the crepe paper had fallen off...leaving only a few lone tassels and my cute little undies. Oh to be a kid again

Our Friends

JAKE

Today we were going to go to Caloundra for a swim with friends of ours Mark and Jacinta and their two kids Jake and Jet. However i accidentally ran the car battery flat by not shutting a door properly....so we stayed home. Instead mark and Jacinta brought the boys around for a play. Introducing Jake (almost 3) and Jet (just1). Aren't they just adorable.

JET

Dylan and Jake had a ball out the back with the hose and the sprinkler. Taking turns at spraying themselves and each other, with lots of giggles.

But soon the clouds came over and the kids smiles turned to frowns as they were really cold. So we threw them in a nice warm bath together. They had a great time making cups of coffee..."really real coffee" they told me. Who needs the beach when you've got such good friends.

Fun in the Sun

Today was a beautiful day here on the Sunshine Coast. Paul went out with the boys on the boat for a wake board. It was stinking hot so Dylan and I decided that a jump on the trampoline with the hose would be a good idea.

No its not what you think lol

Having a drink

All snuggled up in his towel with little sis locking on. I just love summer!

Unsolved mystery

THE EVIDENCE

This morning at approximately 10am
the evidence was found. An empty
packet of scooby snacks were found
on the stairs next to the strawberry
patch.

WHO IS THE CULPRIT

Here is a very happy Chloe after having eaten a whole box of scooby snacks. So the question lies

Did Chloe raid the kitchen and steel the box of scooby snacks?

or

Did Dylan give Chloe the box of scooby snacks?

SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOUR REPORTED

Dylan states the he "didn't do it".. with a somewhat cheeky look in his eyes.

However he was quite happy to wash the dishes after lunch......hmmm very suspicious.

Chloe on the other hand also looked extremely guilty hidding under the house with her tail between her legs.

At the moment the mystery is an open case but stay tuned.

Snuggle Time

Dylan and Lily enjoying a snuggle. Dylan has just been so amazing adjusting to his new sister. I was prepared for the worst...but the worst never happened. He just loves helping out. If Lily is working towards a cry and i am busy he will walk up to her and tell her a story, sing or just talk to her. On the other hand Lily is just as taken with him as he is with her. She just loves following him with her eyes and watching him play with his toys as she coos and smiles with delight. It's just beautiful.

On the bob-bobs

Here is a picture of Lily enjoying her first bottle. She has done really well and is almost completely weaned. She is so precious.

Paul has really been getting back into wakeboarding as the weather has been warming up. He is becoming a bit of a trickstar and pulling off some crazy moves. I am so proud of him.

Chubby Little Munchkin

Here is Lily at 9 weeks really letting those smiles rip. She is so happy healthy and content weighing in at a massive 6.1kg already.....she's off the charts. I always wanted a chubcy little baby with big fat rolls.

The new Park

We have found a new park just round the corner from our house. Dylan is really enjoying taking chloe for a walk and pushing Lily in the pram.

First Smiles

Lily is 8 weeks old in this photo. She is the the best little baby and she is always smiling. She is happy as long as she has someone that she can talk to...she is so very sweet and very content.
